“My country lay within a vast desert. When the sun rose into the sky, a burning wind punished my lands, searing the world. And when the moon climbed into the dark of night, a frigid gale pierced our homes. No matter when it came, the wind carried the same thing… Death. But the winds that blew across the green fields of Hyrule brought something other than suffering and ruin. I coveted that wind, I suppose.”
”Do you sleep still? Wait! Do not be so hasty, boy… I can see this girl’s dreams… Oceans… Oceans… Oceans… Oceans… Oceans as far as the eye can see. They are vast seas… None can swim across them… They yield no fish to catch… What did the King of Hyrule say?… That the gods sealed Hyrule away? And they left behind people who would one day awaken Hyrule?! How ridiculous… So many pathetic creatures, scattered across a handful of islands, drifting on this sea like fallen leaves on a forgotten pool… What they can possibly hope to achieve? Don’t you see? All of you… Your gods destroyed you! I have been waiting for you, boy. For one like you… Yes… For the hero. Do not betray my expectations.”
“Do not fear. I will not kill you… I merely have need of the power that dwells within you.”
=Personality & History=
Basic Overview
Ganondorf is a man of extreme emotions with equally extreme self control who sometimes tires of his own anger. He is the chosen being to embody Din’s power, yet also chosen to embody Demise’s hatred, combined with his own will fighting for his own agenda. Ganondorf seeks control, control over himself, his surroundings, his destiny, to be free of the influence of others and demand that fate end its game, be free of the endless cycle and tear apart those who intend to put their own power over his. Any who attempt to wave authority over him will find themselves his eventual enemy, and one does not lightly make enemies with those who compare to gods.
Philosophy
The nature of this world is a cruel reality, one that most are either too weak, too ignorant, or too unwilling to understand; too comfortable in their own little cells with their own little worlds bound and crafted by other tiny ideas and the meaningless lines of those that surround them — shaped by every other infantile mind. This world is one of chains, long, heavy, thick iron links that lock around those who walk this earth. Every single life on this planet is chained by anyone and everyone who they allow to set their own boundaries for them, many are given this power freely out of some bureaucratic traditional nonsense like the nobles of Hyrule. How I loath that culture, giving your chains to someone simply for their birth. In my culture it is power that rules, whether that power come from strength, courage, or wisdom, the will, the want, and the ability to do what is necessary. If the king is weak he has no right to rule, the kings are raised to be the best, groomed with the intention of becoming leaders, but if they are weak they forfeit all rights to the crown, it is a much better representation of reality. All on this ball of dust are strung like puppets to someone else in one way or another… except those who hold their own bonds, the masters of their realms who refuse to bow. Not to gods, not to kings, not to knights or princesses, for they strive to be more. But why would someone strive to be cast in irons? I’ve come to the conclusion they do so because it is an easier life, a weaker life, a safer life, serving others. Someone else takes care of you, makes decisions for you, sets your path, dirties their hands in your stead, and breaking free of this is an endless war fraught with agony and struggle. It’s much easier to allow others their power over you and live in blissful ignorance.
There is only one method of escaping these metal clasps — power. Through my strength and knowledge I gain in power and through power I gain control — through control my chains are broken. Only this can set me free, and in the process I grab the chains of others, not because that is the intent, but because that is the only path to becoming free, to ending fate’s grip on me. It is a burden as much as it is a blessing, especially when paired with this knowledge of the world and its workings. Only the greatest of masters is truly free. Until then, one is enslaved by these shackles of fate and a tangled web of puppet strings. Make no mistake, some are still greater than others, some are more honorable, more wise or brave, some even respectable, but all are still encased in iron of one form or another, and even at the head of all these cast links the responsibility one has gripped onto is a heavy weight, but if one has enough power to rise above all the chains, to hold the entire world of binding metal, and to not be pulled down by them, then that person is truly free.
It is the ultimate responsibility of leaders to care for those under their chains, and those that fight the shackles must be put down by his power or he will no longer be a leader. The burden of the master, to hold the chains of all those beneath him, to provide for them, and make sure none replace him, making impossible decisions that lead to terrible events so as to try and protect his power, as well as protect those he’s climbed on top of to reach this position. No matter how cruel or dark those deeds may be they are necessary in such a world. Everyone else has this iron dragging behind them, they surrender themselves to some higher power, even the Hyrulean King surrenders to others such as the supposed gods or some outdated traditions. I refuse to allow any such foolishness to chain me, I refuse to be tamed, to be put on a leash, and that is why I am a monster to those who hide from reality in their safe little cells of iron, living in their small, comfortable worlds.

Gerudo Warrior, Demon King, Master and Monster of Hyrule
”When the chosen ones appear… they are always born into this world in perfect balance. That is the destiny of the chosen. That is the fate decreed by the gods in which you believe, the only path for those who bear their crests. When this world brings forth another marked as you are… know too, that it shall also be visited by one of my blood. Do not think this ends here. The history of light and shadow will be written in blood!” ~ Script cut from Twilight Princess
Childhood (all main Zelda timelines)
In his extremely early youth Ganondorf was actually relatively excitable and energetic, constantly filled with wonder at the world guided by a gentle hand. However, the duty of the throne comes very early in the Gerudo, and with his mother’s death in his early days there was no gentle guiding hand to dullthe strikes that prepared him for it. The lead elders of the ruling council, Koume and Kotake, became his surrogate mothers within a year, demanding his training and beating into him how much relies on him and the importance of control and command. The boy was hardened, focused, honed towards the warrior he would become. From when he began training in his fifth year of life to the end of his sixteenth most of his interpersonal contact had been with the elite trainers, the elders, and sorcerers at least thrice his own age. Few times was he allowed to leave behind his training or interact with others, not that he even wanted to consider anything else most of the time after the first few years. The Gerudo Prince dedicated his life to learning the ways of a leader; becoming an all-encompassing obsession in his life. He grew incredibly capable through the brutal trials, often thrown into pits of enemies and mauled to the brink of death before being healed and attempting again, then again with blindfold and other inhibitors once he succeeded the trial, honing his every sense as he studied military doctrine, diplomacy, deception, and subterfuge. He would be thrown to packs of beasts until it was the beasts that fell. When he was allowed to interact with those about his age he was entering half way through his teen years and it was done so he would be able to lead teams and function in combat, to get a more practical understanding of his people, to to better practice his socialization and diplomacy as more preparation for the crown. There were only a handful of Gerudo he ever really interacted with on a more personal level, as such while well studied and extremely knowledgeable of interpersonal and diplomatic relations in practice he was stiff, harsh, and cold, it took time to ease him into such interactions and still he maintained a level of detachment throughout his adulthood in most cases.
Adulthood (all main Zelda timelines)
When Ganondorf rose to power he understood his position. He was the leader of a small nation in a barren desert that has been raiding with minor skirmishes to full scale wars with against the dominant powers long before coming to power himself with no way to end the raids unless starving to death is an option. There was little to offer and much to demand if he wanted to do what he was raised for, he needed to gain complete control of the negotiations. There were a few attempts made to see if a less violent solution could be attained, to see if he could perhaps use the other kingdoms to seize what he saw as necessary, but any agreements he could find were at best extortion. It was unacceptable. The Gerudo were being strangled slowly and steadily by their empty lands, forcing them to either capitulate and surrender their culture and way of life to gain favors from other kingdoms or eventually go extinct if nothing changes. Both options meant the death of the Gerudo, just one was spiritual rather than physical. The Great Ganondorf, as many Gerudo would come to call him, attempted first to gain more leverage but found his needs denied. With no apparent better solution and no method to avoid violence but the unthinkable choice of surrender he decided to feign submission. For nearly a decade Ganondorf carried on the deception that he was completely under the command of Hyrule, acting as an attack dog for the dirty work of the nobles, the fool of a king surrounded himself with rats and flies in his ignorance, just as he praised the predator preparing to feast upon the court as a loyal ally. Ganondorf plotted carefully and slowly, Hyrule held the artifact at its heart like a looming threat against any who oppose its power, he would need to acquire this if he was to be victorious. With the death of their king and their most holy relic stolen, the symbolism alone should be enough to bring submission.
Reign of Ganondorf (Adult & Downfall timelines, Ocarina of Time)
The end of King Hyrule’s reign was swift, brutal, and efficient. In one sweep the supports of the old regime were either weakened to complete helplessness like the Zora and the Gorons or slain like the life deity of the forest known as the Great Deku Tree. The collapse of Hyrule gave rise to Ganondorf’s empire. However, while all power structures against him were disabled, some resistance still remained. Upon reaching into the Sacred Realm only the Triforce of Power stayed with him as the remaining two pieces escaped his grasp. Unforeseen complications damaged his rule, requiring brutal responses and the harshest of punishments. Lord Ganondorf despised the disorder, the failures that kept arising, by all means nothing should have been able to disrupt his rule. It should have been total conquest if it was following any logical solution from all of his meticulous planning — and yet, rebellions continued to form that favored the pitiful, decaying fool that came before. Entire towns required being beaten into submission, Castle Town, the Goron stronghold, and the Zora specifically violently rejected him and took drastic measures so as to attempt to isolate and restrain the outbreak, he needed to kill the leaders, and so he used threats of complete annihilation. He took to measures he would, in the case of the Adult timeline, look back on with regret. No matter, his actions were defeated under the sword of the chosen hero. His empire crumbling in just seven years, he could not comprehend how quickly all of his plans which had been so successful in the immediate events, that had planned for every available detail, collapsed before him from unknowable variables. It strained on his sanity, the betrayal of his closest ally further breaking apart not only his reign but his state of mind. The Gerudo King steadily grew unstable, paranoid, volatile, hurt further by the discovery another of his close servants had been against him from the beginning and in possession of the very thing he sought most, what could one do but laugh at the cruel humor fate so enjoys? Still… if he could gather the Triforce he would be victorious, not even that annoying child, the wretched sages, and all their allies would be able to stand against such immense force. So, after capturing the princess who had hidden under his nose with the Triforce of Wisdom, he waited for the boy carrying the Triforce of Courage to come to him, to meet him on his terms. Even with the sages suppressing his powers, the sword shimmering, and himself forced to use his power to keep others at bay, he was confident in his victory, he was a warrior since birth and the greatest sorcerer of his time after all.
Failure, War of Revival, the Great Flood (Adult timeline)
Ganondorf fell. The Gerudo King failed to hold against such numerous and powerful forces and, in his desperation, awoke something truly monstrous that lurked inside him. Demise’s curse coursed through him as he clung onto life and the Triforce of Power called out to his wrath, reviving the shattered bones and ruptured heart, sealing his wounds and bringing him strength. Even so, he was weak and steadily worn down after taking what would usually be fatal wounds. in his damaged and tired state the sages who channeled the gods were able to cast him out from the realm of light. He was forced in the void for more than a hundred years before cracking it open and reentering the world with blade in hand, commanding an immense army and reuniting the Gerudo once more under his banner. The war at his revival was almost as swift as his first conquest had been. Simple, overwhelming power ravaging the enemy armies and tearing through the joint forces in his sudden strikes, he masterfully painted the battlefields with the blood of soldiers. When Ganondorf was at the cusp of victory, his armies marching and Gerudo following him once more into the lands of Hyrule, his enemies retreating into the mountains, it began to rain, it began to rain more than it had ever before. Hyrule became an ocean, his armies drowned, and his powers sealed as he became trapped beneath it with the meager few remains of his troops were not swept away by the torrential tide being sealed from use. He was alone again, trapped yet again on the verge of victory.
Sinking of Hyrule (Adult timeline, Wind Waker)
The weight of death and sacrifice on Ganondorf’s shoulders had become heavy, he stood with great power, yet his subjects died in droves and every time he nears victory, every time the kingdom is in his grasp, it slipped through at the last moment. His maturity has grown, his self control near absolute, he slowly salvaged what he could from the devastation, forcing himself to focus on what he had available and ignore his conscience. Surrounded by the bones of those who did not make it to the mountains, of his sisters and servants as well as the citizens who had not been alerted or were too weak or slow to escape, a seal of the gods above, his powers waning under the oppressive force of the Master Sword, he had very little to work with. It took uncounted centuries for him to crack a hole in the seal and begin to learn the status of the world. His wars fading into legend, they called him evil, yet he never wrought such destruction as the gods and King Hyrule. They praise the flood, the fools, abandoned, destroyed, everything taken from them by their gods and yet they praised it as they were scattered, surrendering to fate and accepting destruction, how sad and pathetic they all were, how blind and arrogant. Ganondorf rose out from the ocean and conquered an old fortress, one over his own home country which had long been abandoned and the pirates that had acquired it were swiftly dealt with for their crimes. While greatly limited, his powers still remained, they failed to strip him entirely and with each day more and more began to slip out from the Master Sword. Ganondorf began to search the lands for the Triforce again. He would find the chosen hero and the princess reborn once more. He chuckled at the nostalgia, he was so much more than the child they fought before, and these two were infants, hopeless of stopping him as they blundered into his trap. There were some minor inconveniences along the way, interruptions and unkowns which annoyed him but nothing significant. Something was still sinking the land though… one of his old enemies the Great Deku Tree shared his goals but blamed him for the continued growth of the seas. Something was amiss… another player? Still, all his plans came to fruition. The boy defeated the meager puppet he had to test the child, but was swept aside effortlessly on the tower, and the Triforce was in the grasp of the Gerudo King. Finally, he could sweep away the gods of old, the antiquated subservience to beings who left them to rot. Ganondorf would gain command and nothing would be above him again. Hyrule and all its riches would be saved, the people would be brought back to the world they had left behind, he would rule his kingdom and everything shall be restored. He threw his hand for the Triforce and found a spirit had taken it at the last possible moment, the spirit of the one who had asked for Hyrule to drown. He had done everything right, he even avoided killing, he had granted many mercies, yet, here, even closer than before, everything was taken again, even his Triforce piece and Hyrule itself had been stolen from his grasp this time with the kingdom lost forever. Once more, all he could do was laugh at the cruelty of fate as everything he had done, all of his sacrifices, every death and every casualty, every kill, every action he had ever taken was made for naught and all he sought destroyed before him. How funny. Still, he would not be consumed by the demon like he had been the first time. Even in his wrath he kept control, he merely rendered the princess unconscious, he prevented his demon from coming forth, and for that he was slain. The Master Sword sealed him in stone and left him at the bottom of the sea as what was left of Hyrule drowned with him. How cruel the winds of change could be…
Downfall (Downfall timeline)
Ganondorf defeated the boy who sought his destruction in his castle, taking up the Triforce to enforce his rule and end the rebellions that plague him. However, without knowledge of the demon lurking inside and completely unprepared the beast the demonic side was able to use the Triforce to take total control over the Gerudo King. Ganondorf was consumed under the sudden raging ocean of power that flowed over him leaving the beast known as Ganon. The hatred, the anger, the fears and sorrows, rage, wrath, those remained while he was stripped of the depth of his character and leaving the demon beast in possession. The war continues to wage with rebirths and resurrections of the demon, ever steadily reducing the mind that was once Ganondorf further and further from its once capable, sharp, intellectual being and falling to little more than the beast it is called, given one of immeasurable sorcery and power.
The Dark Lord’s War (Child timeline)
When the hero went back in time to his childhood, splitting the timelines, he warned of Ganondorf’s plot and used the Triforce as divine proof to his witness. Before the Great Ganondorf had placed his pieces the preemptive strike destroyed his plans. However, it did not succeed in capturing, nor killing the king, vastly underestimating his early infiltrations that informed him of the coming strike and failing to realize the power Ganondorf already possessed even without the Triforce. Ganondorf began his war. With such numbers as Hyrule’ against him a direct engagement would be foolish, so he brought his forces back into the forests, started massive fortifications along the mountains and within the canyon that opens to the Gerudo. He brought skirmish forces out deep into the territory of his enemy and started a raiding campaign, forces attempting to enter the Gerudo Desert would find themselves bogged down and surrounded as cavalry rides in from the outside forces while the mountains protect Gerudo warriors. Hyrule Castle itself was eventually burned to the ground through the careful tactics, the town destroyed. However, the other nations began to funnel their forces against Ganondorf as well. Slowly, steadily his forces were worn down, hunted, and pushed back, until he himself was captured. The war concluded after over three decades, most of Hyrule’s fortresses and towns devoured in flames and the Gerudo retreating. The desert was sealed, the Spirit Temple transformed into a massive prison, and for a few years Ganondorf was left in its depths, only the sounds of his kin in pain accompanying him. His anger and wrath festered in the deepest cell in what was once a great room dedicated to the studies of sorcery and the spirits of fallen sisters. When it finally came time for his sentence to be carried out he resisted, as he always had, and called out in his rage. The goddess known as Din answered the call of the warrior, the Triforce of Power coming to its champion as the sword of the sages dove through his chest.
The Twilight Age (Child timeline, Twilight Princess)
After surviving impalement Ganondorf erupted forth, crushing a sage effortlessly as he drew the blade from his chest. Before he could destroy his enemies and commit to war once more, the King of the Gerudo was pulled to a prison which he could not escape so easily. Slowly he drew from the desires and failures of those who inhabited the realm. He gained a strong understanding of suffering as he drew from the anguish and learned of his own demon, he grew to understand the nature of the world far greater than he had in his failed conquest, he learned of himself and the history, the legends that could not be unveiled in a single lifetime. Steadily he formulated his new plans, he anchored himself to one who was denied the throne of the Twilight Realm, promising power in exchange for servitude and assistance in his own conquests. Ganondorf used his power to merge the two worlds, breaking across realms and pulling both into darkness. He sought to take both into his own hands, he was destined for this, a man who holds both light and darkness with such power, even after his home country was drowned in sand and all his kin either dead or driven out, the world could still be taken, rebuilt. He studied, he developed, he began his plot and ordered his servants to make preparations. Sweeping through the lands once more he took captive of Castle Town and forced capitulation in a single calculated blow. He enacted some of the same extreme steps he had planned out for worst case scenarios in his rule from his first attempts, Ganondorf froze the Zora realm and erupted Mount Doom, securing against two armies that had heavily contributed to his previous defeat. His enemies were swift to react, steadily beating back his creations and servants. However, it mattered not to Ganondorf, the time it took was enough as he drew the two worlds together. He could not entirely heal, the wound through his chest still open, but he had been able to grow in power and return to the world. His own eyes now stared out over all of Hyrule, and he prepared for the boy that was approaching. The Dark Lord had learned so much since his previous life, so much about true power and the Triforce. He wondered how much of a workout that little toy Midna had was going to give him, she claimed it defied gods, well, he would have to put that claim to rest.
Ganondorf did not survive the battle. He destroyed crushed the relic, he survived a sling of arrows blessed by gods and empowered by spirits, he took countless blows of the blade forged in the heavens. Despite all he had survived, all he had taken, even his power was not infinite, and it finally gave out on the Master Sword that laid embedded in his chest. He died on that blade.
Resurrection (Child timeline, Fourswords Adventure)
The Gerudo returned as traders and barters centuries after their banishment, their history lost to the sands of time, ages more passed before the birth of a new prince. They had settled in the desert beside Hyrule, near a pyramid which housed an ancient weapon of great power and darkness. It was a forbidden place, but it called to the boy, screamed to him, like part of his soul was sealed beneath its sandstone. When he found what he sought he was not prepared, not grown enough to endure the memories and pain, a mere infant to the pain and rage stored there. The boy was swallowed by the storm, what was left was not the man he had once been, nor the boy who could not ignore his own voice, but the beast.
Dark Millennium (Breath of the Wild)
With the constant death and reincarnation Ganondorf’s mind is fractured, broken. The damage to his very soul is severe and threatening his existence, leaving him a beast of destruction with little thought to speak of. Still, the desire to return to as it once was pulls the demon known as Calamity Ganon. Seeking rebirth it finds the resurrection chamber in Hyrule Castle and takes it for itself, slaughtering all that would dare challenge it as it does so. For the next hundred years it waits, sealed within, suppressed by Zelda and attempting to return to the King that came before. The beast is rage incarnate, while Ganondorf is simply tired, exhausted from the struggle, though never willing to stop his infinite war against the strings of fate.
Realm Beyond Time (Hyrule Warriors)
Ganondorf is a truly ancient being by the time he is sealed here, his soul split across times, realities, dimensions to keep it from reforming. Slowly, over millennia the pieces of his soul manipulated events, dug into the minds of the very guards who kept them sealed, and found their way out. He has manipulated events to ensure his release and twist many to his cause. Using the gates of time to gather his allies and build his armies further than before. His conquest continues on again. Perhaps this time fate will fall to him. Regardless of the outcome, he has endless patience. Still, that doesn’t mean he’s going to fight for it any less.
=Weapons=
“These toys are too much for you.”
Standing as the king of a race of warriors, a god of monsters, and the ultimate Lord of Darkness, Ganondorf has a large arrangement of weapons to bring to battle and summon to his hand. Which of these are available to him depends on the time period, timeline, age of the incarnation, etc.
Gerudo Greatsword — The sword used in his first incarnation, a broad blade made of folded steel, a simple weapon but capable against normal man in war. It was largely left to a ceremonial role after he progressed with using the Triforce of Power.
Gerudo Dagger — The curved blade designed to dig around past armor and pierce under the plate which he was armed with during his first rise to power, though rarely used and more decorative.
Gerudo Cavalry Swords — A pair of slightly curved cavalry swords, long and thin blades with ceremonial symbols and long, distracting ribbons. Made after the flooding of Hyrule for both combat and as a tribute to the lost past. “True/Genuine Gerudo” is written on the base of its blade.
Demonic Great Swords — Three pairs of massive swords made from the souls of demons, each of great power.
Ghirahim the Demon Sword — Inherited from the first Demon King, the sword is one of the most powerful weapons, crafted to fight gods from the soul of a demon lord able to transform from servant to sword, he is absolutely loyal to the one title Demon King.
The King’s Trident — Forged for Ganondorf with his powers laid in its foundation, connected to the Triforce of Power, this weapon is of compare to even Ghirahim and the Master Sword, flowing with the brightest lightning and darkest flames, it embodies the very soul of its master and the power that he carries.
Sword of the Seven Sages — Stolen from the sages who failed to execute him, it is a blade of strong mystic power, though despite its great strength it can be found lacking when compared to some of the other weapons in his arsenal.
Triforce of Power — Not exclusively a weapon but it can be used as such. The piece crafted by Din as an integral part of the very fabric of reality always flows to Ganondorf’s grasp, whether it be by the will of the Goddess or some manipulation of how the Triforce acts it has repeatedly answered his call. The Triforce of Power enhances its wielder with even greater magic and durability.
=Powers & Skills=
As with weapons not every power is available to every Ganondorf at all times. This depends on period, timeline, state of well being, etc. This is also not an absolute complete list but it provides for the most part.
Natural Physical Traits
“Behold the power of a Gerudo warrior!”
Agility — Gerudo are especially agile compared to other humans. Though Ruto still largely exceed them in an open field, the Gerudo are superior in much closer quarters. Most Gerudo are capable of incredible leaps and bounds up to three times their own heights and the strength to take the impact from a fall. Ganondorf is no exception and enhances his own natural capabilities with magic to provide more control as his powerful legs pounce through the air at great distances.
Scent — In addition, Gerudo of his time generally possessed a greatly heightened sense of smell and could easily track a query if the winds are calm. Similar to a wolf the could pick out scents with ease and track most targets, though they lack the acute sense of hearing of a Hylian.
Strength — With heavier, denser bones and muscles to keep his massive, heavy figure upright which have been trained shortly after his earliest memories, Ganondorf’s raw physical power is something to behold. Even without magical enhancement he is a frightening display of might, able to bare down two thousand pounds into his strikes with deadly accuracy, skill from the harshest of training and hundreds of years of battle behind him, he makes a frightening opponent.
Mystical Capabilities
“You cannot defeat me with a blade that does not sparkle with the power to repel evil! What you hold is useless.”
Durability — The King of Darkness cannot be harmed by conventional means. Between the Triforce, the inheritance of Demise, and his own natural powers Ganondorf is not easily wounded, it takes great power to even begin to restrain his actions as normal blades will not so much as shave his beard. It takes weapons that pierce souls and banish sorcery to cause the smallest of scratches upon his skin, his defeats have required the combined efforts of sages and warriors with great ability to seal him, ancient artifacts of extreme power and the directed energy of the gods. To come against the Emperor of the Dark Realm, the one who was chose by both Din and Demise being unprepared is to exercise a creative form of suicide, or at least an utterly embarrassing defeat.
“So you’re the entertainment? I think I’ll rather enjoy this.”
Power — Ganondorf stands an immense foe, even without the assistance of his sorcery he is ferocious, with it, his strength can walk through castle walls with a shrug and easily cleave through mountains when applied properly.
Flight — The ability to fly and levitate, lifted by the powers he commands with ease as he carries himself through the air.
Fire and Ice — Inheriting the knowledge from his surrogate mothers, Ganondorf is capable of going as far as to freeze the entire Zora Domain and erupt dead mountains into rivers of magma, however he tends to neglect these abilities in combat, preferring other methods of attack.
Unending Darkness — Control of weather, to plunge continents into terrifying storms of constant lightning and blinding rains, freezing blizzards, tornadoes, or other forms of bending nature to his will.
Lightning Arc — Summoning the electricity of the skies Ganondorf is able to command strikes down from the heavens and summon their power to his blade to launch out at the target.
Lightning of Power — Summoned through the Triforce of Power, the devastating golden arcs of lightning spark across it as it is launched from hand or blade and explodes in a stunning attack that burns through the nervous system and fries enemies from the inside.
Draining Fire — Dark, purple flames that pull the life force from those gripped by them as the blazing fire licks the air, tasting it, seeking out its next meal.
Dimensional Tearing — By ripping a hole in the fabric of reality, Ganondorf creates a portal between locations or realms to travel from one to another, often using this to travel great distances or to escape prison realms attempting to imprison him.
Dimensional Shift — In a similar way, Ganondorf can briefly shift through dimensions, it is a much swifter but shorter ranged variant of dimensional tears, easier to control and not requiring a full split between dimensions but rather slipping beneath the veil so to speak, like holding one's breath under water rather than building a tunnel through it.
Land Manipulation — The ability to tear into the terrain and transform it to fit his battlefield in destruction, tearing into it and bathing it in fire or freezing it solid, to bring ruin or creation as needed.
Beast Creation — Able to bring forth the demons of the Dark Realm and create new beasts, even resurrecting monsters of old to fight under his banner.
Possession & Mind Manipulation — Ganondorf rarely uses such methods, preferring to rely on a sharp tongue and careful words which are usually much less detectable and more reliable, plans with more substance and a more encompassing trap. Still, it is in his arsenal to take the minds of men and control the bodies of even the most significant of sages given some time and the right opportunity.
Telepathy — Ganondorf is able to converse with who he needs from great distances. He may also use this to speak across language barriers and adopt the language of others.
Eyes of Shadow — The Dark Lord watches through his servants and shadows, observing entire battlefields and watching without detection.
Lightning Reflexes — Ganondorf is able to deflect even arrows of light with extreme skill and precision through flick of a blade, a combination of his own honed abilities and the enhancements his powers have afforded him.
King of Darkness — The Emperor of the Dark Realm controls darkness itself, the very shadows come alive. Formless, yet able to solidify into spears, claws, fangs, a sea of his dark powers manifests itself from the demonic inheritance as he calls on the powers of ruin tearing into the realm of light.
Presence of the King — When in the presence of Ganondorf at his full power and intent on destruction, the mere proximity to him can be of risk as the air seems to grow thin and try to strangle anyone that dares oppose him. It has a heavy weight of dread and panic that flows into the hearts of lesser beings and breaks resistance before him.
“This resistance was pitiful. Oh well. Not every battle can be worth retelling.”
===The Dark Beast Ganon===
“I… am… GANON!”
“Seek you the world? Seek you power? Does your soul despise peace and thirst for more? Does your soul cry for destruction and conquest? We grant you power to ruin the world. The power of darkness. Evil spirit of magic trident. You are the King of Darkness.” ~ Inscription upon the pyramid which had hidden away the Trident of Power
Name: Ganon
Height: 38′ (11.6 meters) when standing, around 26′ (7.9 meters) when on all four of his limbs
Titles: Dark Beast, Demon King, King of Evil, King of Darkness, King of Beasts, Hatred Incarnate, Blight of Hyrule, The Great Calamity, Beast of Beasts, Demise’s Heir. Known by most as a destroyer, though some monsters title him their god and worship his return.
Species: Demon
=Personality=
While Ganon is not entirely different from Ganondorf, he is not entirely the same either. Ganon is a combination of all of the worst parts of Ganondorf, his pain, hatred, malice given physical form. Often his intellect, his grand strategic mind is blinded in this state. It is still capable of plotting unless the resurrection is broken, but far more relentless and reckless. Unlike Ganondorf the beast cares not for preserving its conquest, it does not care if what it rules is naught but ruin and destruction. Where Ganondorf seeks control the demon craves chaos and despair, to slaughter its enemies abandoning all other factors.
“What?! That raw patch of darkness, deeper than the blackest night… Is… Is that Vaati? No, it’s not the wind sorcerer… No matter, I must use my power to seal it away! Can’t breathe… My strength is failing me… The very air around me is growing thin…dying… I only need a bit… more power… MORE!!” ~ Zelda, as Ganon appears before her.
“Hero? …I’ve outlived more ‘heroes’ than you can possibly imagine.”
“You dare raise the blade of evil’s bane to me? So be it. Hyrule’s blood will be on your hands.”
“So you put all your faith in this hero and then worry he’ll get hurt? How touching… and pitiful.”
“Is that all? I expected the hero to be something more than a minor diversion.”
“I am Ganondorf, the Demon King. Don’t take that title lightly…”
“Come now… Stand before me.”

Family: Biological mother of unknown name deceased by age 5, Koume and Kotake “Twinrova” as the surrogate mothers and twins who trained him, considers most of the Gerudo to be distant sisters or even something of a loose daughter’s relationship due to the father-like role he has played previously in their governance, some would worship him as something approaching a god. He lost much of this in later lives, when the culture of the Gerudo shifted away from when he ruled, he no longer recognizes those he might have once called daughters, and in some timelines the Gerudo have ceased to exist entirely, at least to his knowledge.

===The Dark Beast Ganon===
